Holiday Programs are a Success at Burks!

Our music program had a busy couple of weeks leading up to our holiday break.  We had a Kindergarten program and three choir performances!  I could not be more proud of our students and the hard work the put into making these performances successful.

On Thursday, December 10, our Kindergarteners gave a fantastic performance of some of the best known holiday tunes.  Each class had a special song to sing (and hat to wear) and got to hang their own homemade Christmas ornaments on our tree as our principal, Mrs. Bendorf read "Twas the Night Before Christmas".  It was a great way to kick off our holiday season.

The following Monday, our Burks Honor Choir went on their Winter Tour and performed at Colonial Lodge of McKinney and at Stonebriar Mall.  They sang their full winter concert on Tuesday night for a cafetorium full of parents, family, and friends.  Then on Friday morning, our choir students led the school in our Christmas Sing-Along.  What an outstanding group of singers and young leaders we have here at Burks!  I am so blessed to work with this fine group of students!
